100 Words and a Quote

Title: Me Before You
(Me Before You, #1)
Author: Jojo Moyes
Publisher: Viking
Published: December 31st, 2012
Purchase: Amazon | B&N

This was a thought-provoking story and one that I really did enjoy.  The characters were intriguing, and they held my interest throughout the book.  Though the story hurt my heart, I am glad that I read it; and I definitely want to see Hollywood’s take on it when Me Before You hits theaters next month.  I confess I pictured “Daenerys” and “Finnick” as I read, and I am more than okay with that. I eagerly await seeing these characters come alive on screen. The book is very well written, and I look forward to reading more by author Jojo Moyes.

Title: The Empty Jar
Author: M. Leighton
Source: Author
Published: May 8th, 2016
Purchase: Amazon | B&N

The Empty Jar is a story of true love.  One that is tragic but also brings hope and joy in unexpected ways. It is one of those books in which you truly feel the author’s heart and soul in every line.  M. Leighton will break your heart, but you won’t be able to hold it against her.  It is too beautiful of a story to not read and with characters you’ll love meeting.  You’ll need tissues, yes, but it’s an important story that puts things in perspective and reminds us to never take life and those we love for granted.

Title: For All Time
(Nantucket Brides, #2)
Author: Jude Deveraux
Publisher: Ballantine Books
Published: July 1st, 2014
Purchase: Amazon | B&N

A prince, a true love legend, and some time travel thrown in for good measure made this a really lovely read.  I will never tire of my Montgomery-Taggerts nor of the legend that the woman who possesses the ability to distinguish between identical twins is marked as that person’s true love.  It’s my favorite thread that winds through the Montgomery saga, and I loved this take on it. While the third book in this series is my favorite, I really enjoyed this second installment as well.  If you love Jude Deveraux, you’ll need the Nantucket trilogy on your reading list.

  8. I am really looking forward to watching Me before You. But I was pleasantly surprised that there is actually a book behind the movie. I am going to add to to my TBR list. Seems like very good read.
