Trying to choose Teasers from these five novellas was pretty difficult because there are so many amazing quotes to choose from -- so we've each chosen one of our favorites :-)

Mckenzie's Teaser:

“‘But if I asked you to pick, you’d choose Arobynn, and I. Can’t. Take. It.’ The only sounds were their breathing, an uneven beat against the rushing of the sewer river. ‘You’re a damned idiot,’ she breathed. ‘You’re a moron and an ass and a damned idiot.’ He looked like she had hit him. But she went on, and grasped both sides of his face, ‘Because I’d pick you.’ And then she kissed him.”
– #4, The Assassin and the Underworld, pg. 309 Kindle

Michele's Teaser:

“With that, the stranger stepped from the mist.
She had two long daggers in her hands.
And both blades were dark with dripping blood.”
– #2, The Assassin and the Healer, pg. 96 Kindle

“With each beat of the drum, each trill of the flute and blare of the horn, she felt all of it along her skin, along her bones.
The music broke her apart and put her back together, only to rend her asunder again and again.”
– #4, The Assassin and the Underworld, pg. 257 Kindle

Mckenzie: Hey... I thought we were doing one teaser.

Michele: Right, right. Sorry. Here's my one:

“She was fire, she was darkness, she was dust and blood and shadow.”
– #5, The Assassin and the Empire, pg. 401

Mckenzie: You did not just do that.

Michele: *snort*

The fabulous Teresa at Readers Live A Thousand Lives loaned us this book to buddy-read with her after strongly recommending this series to us. "Strongly" may be putting it lightly. Lol. But now that we've read almost the entire series, we totally get it. We don't just love these books -- we're obsessed. And this is the book that started it all. The Assassin's Blade consists of all five novellas (you can buy each novella separately, but don't do that. Trust. You won't want to stop, and you're going to need them all in this handy volume. They are an amazing introduction to this world and its characters. If you're a fan of the series but skipped these prequel novellas... go back. Stop now, turn around, and read this book! It gives so much insight into the other books; it will grab you, pull you in, and will not let go. If you haven't read any of these books yet WHYYYYY start with this one. This is must-read stuff right here!

The Assassin's Blade (Throne of Glass, #0.1-0.5)Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass, #2)Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass, #3)Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass, #4)

“‘My name is Celaena Sardothien,’ she whispered, ‘and I will not be afraid.’”

Mckenzie: I give up.
