That is, until Ivy discovers that their encounter wasn’t random. Not at all…

The Burying Water series has been such an amazing one -- one that has put this reader through a gamut of emotions and has made it very difficult to say goodbye to. I’ve had my favorite books and characters in this series; but as far as female characters go, Ms. Tucker saved the best for last with Ivy. I love her and everything about her!! Ivy is a gifted artist who is tough as nails; and after her beloved uncle is murdered in his shop, she pushes through her anguish and does what needs to be done, tackling everything that is thrown her way. Grief, as it tends to do, will eventually catch up with you and crack even the hardest shell; and when the tears finally fell from Ivy’s eyes… they fell from mine, too. It broke my heart what happened to Ned, and I loved “working with” Sebastian to find out why it had to happen. And just who is Sebastian?

“Who are you, really, Sebastian?
Besides the stranger who strolled in and seized my heart?”

There is so much I could say about this man, but you'll just have to learn about him on your own... and there's a lot to learn.

The suspense of solving the mystery of what happened as well as keeping Ivy safe was one thing, but the suspense of what Ivy might do when she found out the truth about Sebastian was almost my undoing! I’m not going to give any more details than that – but I will say that as sad as I am for this series to come to an end, it definitely ended on a high note. I can’t recommend this series enough; and if you think you’ve read everything that the New Adult genre has to offer, then these are the books to show you there’s more.

My Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

  1. *hides* In spite of hearing great stuff about K.A. Tucker, I have never really given the author's books a chance. But you have made Surviving Ice sound excellent! I'm so glad the series ended on a perfect note, and that the female MC stood out for you. Great review!

  3. I finished this one last night. I liked it, but I wasn't in love with it like the others. I don't know, something just didn't connect for me. I liked the third book in the series the best.
