• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Title: Gone Girl
Author: Gillian Flynn
Publisher: Crown Publishing
Published: June 5, 2012
Purchase: Amazon  |  B&N

Goodreads Summary:

On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?

My Teaser:

I've just finished this book, and I can honestly say I'm torn between disliking it and really liking it. I found the characters extremely unfavorable (though that may have been the intention) and I predicted the "twist" early on, but it was still intriguing to watch everything unfold. A definite page turner.

  2. It really intrigues me that the characters are so unlikable... I feel like that is so different but it is tough when you peg the twist.... one of these days I may read this one... cannot wait to read your thoughts *smish*
