From Goodreads:

He lives in solitude beneath the city, an exile from society, which will destroy him if he is ever seen.

She dwells in seclusion, a fugitive from enemies who will do her harm if she is ever found.

But the bond between them runs deeper than the tragedies that have scarred their lives. Something more than chance--and nothing less than destiny--has brought them together in a world whose hour of reckoning is fast approaching.

Love it!  It's probably just me, but this has a very Beauty and the Beast a la 1987 Vincent and Catherine feel to it ("He comes from a secret place, far below the city streets, hiding his face from strangers, safe from hate and harm. He brought me there to save my life... and now, wherever I go, he is with me...")  I haven't read any Koontz since the Odd Thomas series, and this sounds amazing!

What book are you waiting to get your hands on?
