Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week's teaser comes from the following book:

Author: Stephen Chbosky
Publisher: MTV Books/Pocket Books
Published: February 1, 1999
Purchase: Amazon | Barnes & Noble
Charlie is a freshman. And while he's not the biggest geek in the school, he is by no means popular. Shy, introspective, intelligent beyond his years yet socially awkward, he is a wallflower, caught between trying to live his life and trying to run from it.
Charlie is attempting to navigate his way through uncharted territory: the world of first dates and mix-tapes, family dramas and new friends; the world of sex, drugs, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, when all one requires is that perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite.
But Charlie can't stay on the sideline forever. Standing on the fringes of life offers a unique perspective. But there comes a time to see what it looks like from the dance floor.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a deeply affecting coming-of-age story that will spirit you back to those wild and poignant roller-coaster days known as growing up.

My teaser:
"Then, I turned around and walked to my room
and closed my door and put my head under my pillow and
let the quiet put things where they are supposed to be." - pg. 26

I really wish I had not put off reading this as long as I have. I'm a stickler for reading a book before I see the movie...and I really want to see this movie. I love how refreshing and honest the story is. Although I fear it's going to break my heart, I know it's going to be a favorite for a long time to come.
I'd love to know what your teaser is!
I heard about the book and the movie for a while now, but didn't pick it up yet. I got it on good recommendation though. Enjoy!
